EUROPARAD 2024: Cast Your Vote

On May 5, 2024, the EUROPARAD event, themed “Use Your Voice,” took place at Umadum in Munich. This event was part of Munich’s “Europe in May” celebrations and served as a platform to highlight the importance of values, diversity, and democracy. Participants came together to discuss integration, peaceful coexistence, and the importance of using one’s voice.

One of the speakers was Dr. Luise Berger, who shared her remarkable story in an interview with EU Ambassador Duygu Bayramoglu. Dr. Berger is not only a successful independent entrepreneur and passionate physician, but also a single mother and half-Japanese woman who has fought her way to the top as a woman and a foreigner.

She spoke about her experiences with exclusion and the challenges she had to face. Dr. Berger emphasized the importance of perseverance and self-confidence and encouraged other women to believe in themselves and take responsibility.

Eleonora Berger: A Role Model for Young People

Eleonora Berger, co-founder of DOC.BERGER | EFFECT, also impressed the audience. With a high school GPA of 0.8 at age 16 and now in her second semester of a Management & Technology degree program at the Technical University of Munich, Eleonora has already overcome many challenges. She spoke openly about her school days, during which she was ostracized for being different, and emphasized how important it is to stay true to yourself and pursue your own goals.

Eleonora inspires young people in particular to put their ideas into action and forge their own path. She is a shining example of how one can succeed despite adversity.

Focus on Diversity and Integration

The EUROPARAD event featured a wide range of activities and panel discussions that focused on the themes of diversity and integration. With musical performances and speeches by representatives of the European Commission and the Munich City Council, the day proved to be an inspiring experience for all participants.
