Retinol is an all-rounder for skin regeneration. It is one of the most effective anti-aging factors and works effectively against impurities and unevenness. Retinol activates cell renewal and can thus refine the skin structure and reduce pigment spots. Retinol can also smooth wrinkles and fine lines by stimulating collagen production and reducing collagen breakdown. This effect is further enhanced by the skin's increased moisture retention. The antibacterial effect of retinol also helps combat impure skin.

Slight redness or dryness is completely normal when starting retinol treatment.

You will see and feel the full effects of retinol after 3 to 6 months.

Increasing the retinol concentration to 0.5% should only be considered after 6 weeks at the earliest.

    FAQs

Retinol is a form of vitamin A and a popular ingredient in skincare, known for its anti-aging effects. It promotes cell regeneration and collagen production, which can help reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture. Additionally, retinol can refine pores, reduce pigmentation, increase skin moisture, and accelerate scar healing.

Start with the lowest concentration, Retinol 0.3, and for the first two weeks, apply one pump of Retinol 0.3 serum every other evening. If your skin adapts to retinol without any issues and there are no signs of redness or flakiness, you can use Retinol daily for the next 3-6 weeks until it's finished. During this time, you can increase the amount of the Retinol serum to up to 3 pumps per evening. Transitioning from Retinol 0.3 to Retinol 0.5 should only be done after 6-8 weeks. The higher the concentration, the stronger the anti-aging effect. For very sensitive skin, increasing beyond 0.3% may not be possible, while other skin types may tolerate it.

Retinol 0.5 is suitable for all skin types, especially for those looking to address signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. However, it may be particularly beneficial for individuals with normal to dry skin types who want to incorporate a higher concentration of retinol into their skincare routine.

Retinol 1.0 is ideal for normal, mature, oily, and acne-prone skin. It is also used specifically to treat body scars.

Yes, if applied incorrectly, retinol can cause skin irritation such as redness, dryness, or peeling in some individuals. Therefore, it's important to gradually introduce the skin to retinol and apply it ONLY IN THE EVENING. During the day, you should always use sunscreen with SPF 30, as retinol can make the skin more sensitive to light.

Retinol should be avoided during pregnancy.

Patience is key. Typically, you should plan for at least 2-3 months of consistent use to see visible results.
